Why “PanthSeva”?
Panth in Gurbani is primarily a path/way—the Guru’s path. PanthSeva means seva through walking that path: learning, reflection, and principled action rooted in Gurmat. It is not a claim to speak “for the Panth,” but a commitment to serve by staying accountable to the Shabad-Guru.
PanthSeva is a free publication by Gurjit Singh Sandhu.
“Seva Through Walking The Guru’s Path” is the simplest description of what you’ll find here: practical, plain-language writing that tries to turn reverence into understanding, and concern into constructive action.
What I publish here (in clear “lanes” so readers don’t get confused):
1) Sikh Governance (Gurmat-based)
I publish essays and serialized parts of longer working papers on Sikh governance—re-centering Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Akal Takht, and Gurmat process in Sikh decision-making. The goal is clarity, integrity, and workable reform thinking for real-world institutions (gurdwaras, committees, governance structures), without reducing Sikhi to factional politics.
2) Gurbani Learning Notes (starting with Japji Sahib)
I publish learning notes designed for ordinary readers: vocabulary, concepts, and a “how to learn” approach that moves from ritual familiarity to lived meaning.
3) AI Governance (separate area; added later)
I also write on frontier AI governance and safety. This will be kept in a clearly separated section so it doesn’t dilute or confuse the Sikh governance and learning stream.
Important guardrails (please read):
- This is non-Panth-binding work offered for critique, discussion, and improvement.
- Nothing here should be used to justify gatekeeping the Guru’s darbar/langar/seva, to label others, or to inflame factional politics.
- I welcome disagreement. I don’t welcome contempt.
